Trackback PingsTrackBack URL for this entry To think my Grandfather and his brother's lives were put at risk liberating you people makes me sick. I'm grateful those two fine men never lived to see the results of their effort. Holland and Denmark... California without the morals! I'm sure you debauching, hedonist, sophisticated leftist are enjoying your child pornography, drug infested coffee shops, needle exchange programs and rich cultural mosaic. It would be better if you were crushed under the sandal of islam as a warning to other western countries that might think to emulate your diseased, degenerate "way of life". Any dutch thinking of emigrating out of their self-made hellhole should be beat with a wooden shoe. I beg you stay where you are, don't spread the netherland virus anywhere else. We don't want you here. (ip:209.89.39.119) 7 November 2004 - 16:18 uur Do you want some pot with that? Arjan (ip:82.161.93.35) 7 November 2004 - 16:20 uur It's comforting to read that some leaders in the EU may at least be hinting of the dire fate which awaits the european continent if they do not temper the amoral cultural slide into relativism which holds that all cultures are equal and should be treated as such. We are currently witnessing a europe in thrall to immigration and cultural relativism, and demographics alone show a europe in decline and a culture in risk of being subsumed by those newcomers seeking to change it into a place more like the lands they fled. If you do not take steps now to assimilate those that have come to your countries and insist that they abide by (or at least cease calling for the destruction of) your cultures, we in the united states see little hope for your long term survival as a western liberal democratic state. My apologies for the American poster above, it's just that many of us are frustrated when we see countries we supported in the past turn so blatantly anti-america and seem to stand against the ideals which once bound us together. Dan (ip:141.149.235.220) 7 November 2004 - 17:09 uur @Dan, thanks for your kind comments. I can understand why you're frustrated. It is a shame, Europe and the United States still have far more in common than any other two areas in the world. Then again, reading Of Paradise and Power didn't make me too optimistic the rift is going to be healed anytime soon. So if you're ever around, I'll buy you a Dutch beer, which is one of the things in which I think Europe still beats the USA ;-) Arjan (ip:82.161.93.35) 7 November 2004 - 17:30 uur Congratulations on a no-nonsense response to the act of barbarity which has recently been perpetrated in your country. saoirse (ip:195.92.67.76) 7 November 2004 - 17:44 uur What "no nonsense response to the act of barbarity" are you talking about saoirse? Painting over a mural saying "thou shalt not kill" because it offends muslims, then arresting sombody who had the balls to try and stop this act of craven subserviance. Maybe a PBS panel blaming dutch society for robbing muslim immigrants of their identity can be described as 'no nonsense'. Somebodies identity has been robbed, call the police. Even the obligatory candle light vigil and placing of flowers at the murder site was too harsh for the hapless dutch. Some muslim thugs had to come by during the vigil to remind them that some cultures find over-doing the grief thing to be offensive. What a sad-sack people the dutch are. The funny thing is they can't understand why more countries aren't like them. Hey! I've got an idea. Maybe a big parade with lots of nudity and child pornograpy on display will help smooth things over. All the dutch can fill up their crack pipes and take their kids to the parade. What a nice way to show these people how harmless you are. You can see I'm getting a kind of perverse pleasure out of watching you stew in the pot of raw sewage you've spent the last 50 years brewing up. Have a nice life.
