Silly proposal by MP Wilders

Populism from maverick MP Geert Wilders, who allegedly is himself on an Islamic hit list: he wants to take away certain constitutional rights, such as the right to found schools, from Muslims. Never mind that this in itself is unconstitutional and would be anathema in every Western country.

I know it's problematic but I think this is the RIGHT THING TO DO.. it could be done "implicitly" and in a different manner however. Private schools could be made to require APPROVAL. The intelligence commuinity would then get a chance to background screen all applicants. If islamist or radical muslim connections are spotted the entire affair can be shutdown.. it'S time to end the "semantics" war, the dictatorship of Political Correctness and to actually start doing something.. otherwise the "Dhimmization" of Europe is just a question of time..

I don't know where this silly idea came about that free society must tolerate anything labeled a school or religion. At it's root Islam is not a tolerant religion and therefore has not earned the right to operate freely in the western sphere.

If you've ever kept an aquarium you will understand what I mean by saying the Islam just isn't a good community fish.

I take a dim view on the notion that the purpose of western values of tolerance were to preserve a diversity of ethnic cultures. It's true purpose was to allow compatible cultures to live side by side without strife. There is no reason why particular cultural backgrounds should not go extinct if they cannot get along with others.

I think that many westerners have to get there heads the notion that their heads that we sit on some higher plain where we are protected from the vulgarities of the struggle for life. This is a falsehood. Western culture is in direct competition with other cultural systems whether we like it or not. If we do not defend our own cultural background the Islamic horde certainly will not.

We are not feeding birds here. Make no mistake the western man who must pay his own way, support his children, plus pay for the feeding and defense of those who would destroy him once in the majority is sure to fail. It is more like we are feeding a wild population of lions meat from our own tables. The increased burden of feeding these lions as they breed over time will surely lead to the neglect of our fences and homes. Eventually the fences and gates will no longer provide sufficent defense to prevent the proliferating lions from entering our very bedrooms to hunt us in our sleep.

A short note from Brussels...

As a woman living near the centre of this enlightened capital of the soon-to-be Islamic Republic of Al-belgium, I must congratulate its police and judiciary on the way they arrest and harass infidels and other scum, whilst leaving the peace-loving moslem youth to carry out its evening-to-evening physical education and debt-recovery duties. In addition, we women really appreciate how islam, with its kind young men, is helping us to understand why we should stay at home and expect to be used for sex, food and children, as well as the advantages of regular beatings.

Yes, of course a good islamic education is vital...

Speaking of overreaction, there's Ayaan Hirsi Ali's proposal to ban male circumcision (in addition to the existing ban on female genital mutilation).

Granted, male circumcision is indefensible on medical grounds -- but is this really a matter that the state needs to be involved in? And what about Jews, whose religion also requires all boys to be circumcised?
