He's still there

Johan Remkes is allowed to remain as secretary of Domestic Affairs.

More later, got to run for the hospital to get hepatitis shots for a trip to Jordan.

A trip to Jordan? Ok, best wishes for a good trip, but we need you back reporting on what's happening in Holland, ASAP! I think the Dutch reaction to what has happened might ("might") be a "tipping" point in overall European policy toward Islamic radicalism (which I call IFBs -- IslamoFascistBastards). Could be wishful thinking. Could be that Europe is beyond salvation/redemption -- devoid of the will to fight back, and defend "Western" civilization. I hope -- I hope upon hope -- that that assessment is wrong. But I'm not sanguine. About Europe, that is. About my country, the USA, I'm supremely confident. Easy to say, apres Bush's victory. But, I assure you, I felt the same prior-thereunto: about B's victory, and about the long-run prognosis that we're going to crush the IFBs.

Well, this won't be a holiday. I'll be teaching Iraqi civil servants there. I was scheduled to go to Iraq, but they've relocated the whole thing to Jordan. I don't know when the trip will take place, as the whole venture has been postponed, probably due to the fact that the Iraqi government has plenty of other things to worry about at this moment. I just hope they won't scrub it altogether.
