Imitation, flattery, etc

On the 6th of November, I wrote this item about a survey by a Dutch newspaper.
Today, a kind reader pointed out the existence of this article to me. Just scroll down a bit.

I guess I should be happy, since I'm writing this blog in English to improve my fluency in written English, so one day I would be able to get my stuff published in American and British outlets. Well, mission accomplished. Thing is, I always imagined my name would be there, too.

Arjan, you're very gracious about it, however I could not resist responding to the article in Frontpage magazine and so I had to point out that 'cut and paste'thingie. Give credit where credit is due.
Keep up the good work. By the way, your command of English is as good or better as most people I know here in the States.

Arjan, send a note to the site's feedback address (or at least their webmaster) pointing it out. Plagarism is an easy way to get massacred, and they would probably be eager to avoid any bad PR. We hope.

I have also sent a complaint to the Managing Editor of FrontPage (e-mail addresses available on their Connact page). If they don't set things right, I strongly urge you to contact a intellectual property lawyer in the US. One letter from a law firm can work wonders....

Thank you all for responding. I have already contacted FrontPage and I'm awaiting their response. Rogier van Bakel, a fellow Dutchman, published a piece on this at http://nobodysbusiness.typepad.com/nobodys_business/2004/12/a_plagiarizer_c.html More updates as they become available ;-)
