They still don't (want to) get it

From the BBC website:

'I am surprised. If they are UK born, surely they must have seen the thousands of Londoners marching in protest against the War in Iraq back in 2002 and 2003. Why would they kill those same people?'

(Helen, Oxford, UK)

Because these people are fascists, Helen. They consider your respect for the rights of the individual to be perverse, and likewise, don't think your personal opinions should exempt you from their righteous wrath. In their eyes, there's only God's mob and the devil's mob.

It's time to quote good ol' James Woolsey once more:

'We and you are cordially loathed for freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, open economies, equal - or almost equal - treatment of women, and so on. It is not what we have done wrong that is creating the problem; it is what we do right.'

In other words: if you don't want them to kill you, you'll have to rescind your right to protest - even if it is an anti-war protest. Or, perhaps, especially. For it doesn't seem to be peace that they're after.

This is what is so maddening to me about the left.
These jihadis DO NOT CARE if you love them, or understand them, or even agree with them. If you are not a muslim, you are an infidel and they would prefer you dead.

I keep waiting for them to blow up a peace march.
Talk about mixed emotions!

Well, I would prefer it if we could keep the Jihadis from blowing themselves up altogether. I like the idea of a civilization which can afford itself the luxury of a heart, even if it sometimes leads to naivity.

Plus, Jews and Muslims are right. Pork meat is really bad for you. And I liked 'Babe' (though the sequel sucks).

I agree that it would be preferable if they would stop going "bang", but I just don't see myself, or you, bowing to the east five times a day.

The best meal I ever had was cooked for us by my mom's cousin, from Joure. They ran a restaurant there. It was pork cutlets. MMMMMMmmmmmmm.

I already bow to the east five times a day. That's where Twente, my home county, is. We Twents take pride in our heritage (besides, bending over is the only way to stand the smell of manure).

Oh my God. My experience has been mainly with
Frisians, and I thought THEY were bad, but you have just topped them! lol. (In the interest of full discloseure, I have Frisian in my blood).

Are you familiar with the book "The Undutchables"??
