Color me confused, Arjan.

Aren't they already there?

That very twisted video of "something something Amarillo" was, I understood, Dutch SF in A'stan.

Or are you feeding us outdated links, hmmmmm?

;-)

If that were the case, I would have been feeding you links from the future! :) Yes, there are already Dutch ISAF soldiers there (peacekeeping personnel). These are fresh units, supposed to assist in the forthcoming elections, and they're mariniers (Dutch special forces, not comparable persé to American marines, though not as highly trained as the SAS). Unfortunately, Dutch press agency ANP reported this morning their departure was postponed yesterday evening.

FYI: it's these guys: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netherlands_Marine_Corps

The Korps Commandotroepen (Dutch 'Rangers' or 'Deltas', if you like, more elite than the Mariniers, although the latter might beg to differ) is already there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korps_Commandotroepen It's not there for the elections, but fighting alongside American and British SF against Taliban remnants, mujahedeen and the likes.
