My one and final word on the Sheehan matter

Concerns this page from Dutch PBS teletext:

The last sentence says: 'Bush has stated he respects her, but didn't want to speak to her'.

Obviously, this should say: 'Bush has stated he respects her, but didn't want to speak to her again'

Seems to me there would have been plenty of space left for that one word (which would be 'nogmaals' in Dutch, in case you're interested, or 'tweede' (second), in this case).

Being a teletext editor myself, I was taught that you always have to explain why it says 'again' or not use the word at all. However, they could have written "Bush spoke to her earlier. He respects her but doensn't want to talk to her again". I think it would be possible to fit this in the last two lines or so somehow. Dutch PBS editors are considered to be the 'nose of the salmon' (the very best).

So if you consider them to be the 'cream of the crop' (salmon's noses = not very popular outside the Netherlands ;-)), how come you can come up with a good way to make the article more informative, and they can't?
