In a 2003 interview with Algemeen Dagblad, she said: "The Holocaust excepted, the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories is worse than the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands." (Then again, many Dutch still buy into the myth that it was our skills at record keeping that doomed so many of them, so common beliefs are not really anything to rely on here.)
